The Barwell range of Continuous Gear Pump Preformers have been designed in response to market demands whilst incorporating the traditional standards of Quality, Performance and reliability that is expected from the World’s leading Prefomer specialist.
Each of our models can be supplied with a Cold Feed Extruder or can be fitted to customer’s existing screw extruder.  In either case the system combines the convenience and performance of a cold feed extruder with a gear pump to accurately control material flow and an intelligent cutter control system to ensure preform accuracy.

Main features include:

Continuous Feed

A single cold feed screw extruder supplies constant feed to the Gear Pump. Customers can you existing equipment or choose from a range of sizes and screw designs to suit all output and material requirements.

Gear Pump

High accuracy achieved by advance gear design to provide consistent and constant mastication and reduction in pressure fluctuations.  Adjustable parameters allow for improved processing of all materials. High pressures, up to 350 bar allow inline screening of materials prior to preforming.

Intelligent Cutter Control

A high speed cutter is linked to the gear pump material flow via intelligent controls, with full recipe database and automatic weight control with integrated weight scale loop feedback.
